Modeling of partial reduction of hematite with carbon-monoxide in tunnel furnace

چکیده
DRI production in tunnel furnaces sometimes encounters an incomplete degree of reduction. A model is required to tackle heterogeneous reaction rates, crucible heat transfer, and oxide morphology. Herein, a three-phase proposed based on mass conservation kinetics, describe the reduction hematite magnetite crucibles. The was implemented via Fortran program using finite volume discretization, results were validated against available experimental data. moderated uncertainties rate with reformulation considering solid also revealed that speed diameter have dominant effects overall progress by changing transfer within crucible. In contrast, thickness has minor effect could be regarded as economical parameter.
